Experienced anglers turn to Lake Vermilac for its feisty Northern pike, but it is host to many other fish species as well. Those who prefer using smaller boats and canoes will appreciate the quiet, low traffic on this lake. A branch of the longest off-road, non-motorized, hiking trail in the U.S., the North Country National Scenic Trail (4,600 miles long), passes to the north of this area.
